About the Artist
Carol
Ettenger is a contemporary Colorado artist who works in an abstract
style. Her work is full of rich color, textures and collaged
items whose source is natural and spiritual influences. Carol’s
figurative images are mystical in nature, exploring the possibility
of light beings and guides in another dimension who call us
to a place of healing and unconditional love.
Carol has exhibited her art in
many local, regional and national shows since 1984, both on
the east coast and since moving to Colorado in 1997. She has
had eight solo shows and won several awards. She was one of
twelve artists whose work has been selected twice from the Colorado
Springs Conservatory’s “Infusion 2002” and
“Infusion 2006” shows to be reproduced in the Conservatory’s
2003 and 2006 calendars. In 2002 she had a collage chosen to
hang in the “Parade of Homes” model home tour. She
has won a Meritorious Award twice in the Colorado State Fair
Fine Arts Exhibit, as well as an Honorable Mention. In 2003
she won the Special Recognition Award in the Gateway National
Art Show in Farmington, NM., and an Honorable Mention in the
Colorado Springs Art Guild show “Spontaneity”. In
2003 she was invited to exhibit in the Biennale Internazionale
dell’arte Contemporanea in Florence, Italy.
She is a member of the Business of Art Center in Manitou Springs, Co; the
